Ralph “Dick” Fletcher Jr. of Veedersburg, age 63, died Sunday evening, April 26, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Fountain County, February 8, 1918, the son of Ralph and Elma Scott Fletcher. He was married to Lois Gertrude Renick, who survives. Fletcher was a truck driver for the Little Beverage Company.

  Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Diane Reese of Veedersburg, Mrs. Regina Baker of Newman, Illinois, and Mrs. Nellie Cox of West Palm Beach, Florida; four sons, William Richard of St. Joseph, Illinois, Ralph III of Veedersburg, Francis “Frank” and Tom, both of Tilton, Illinois; four sisters, Mrs. Rachael Thorlton and Mrs. Mary Clifton, both of Danville, Illinois, Mrs. Irmadel Beedle and Mrs. Betty Shank, both of Bourbonnais, Illinois; a brother, Arthur of Veedersburg; 15 grandchildren, five step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Bill Ringgold officiating. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery. – thanks to S
